In A Perfect World…

In a perfect world…

Conferences around the globe would only use speakers and trainers who “brought it!”  Showing up and throwing up would not be permitted.  People pay a lot of money to attend and they deserve the best, the most creative, the most cutting-edge, the most powerful and the most innovative its industry has to offer.

In a perfect world…

Trainers would never use power point slides their participants couldn’t see.  How many times have you heard a presenter say, “I know you can’t see this but I’m using it anyway?”  If I can’t see it why are you using it?”  Aarrrgggghhhh!!!!  Besides, in this perfect world, we wouldn’t rely so heavily on slides.

In a perfect world…

Speakers and trainers would seek more praise and polish regarding their presentations.  Believe it or not, people clap after bad presentations.  We’re nice that way.  That’s the reason “just OK” presenters continue to use their “just OK” stuff.  In this perfect world, trainers, educators, speakers and the like would present to express and not impress and view every presentation as an opportunity to provide information and transformation.
