Jim’s Journal: What No Bags?

August 5, 2014 in Jim's Journal

I’ve been shopping at Costco for some time and I have never asked any of the staff why they don’t bag your groceries.  Yes, I know they provide boxes for you to use, but it’s not the same as bagged groceries.  And people don’t mind; or, if they do, it doesn’t stop them from coming back.  That store is always packed.  My guess is that people value Costco’s products and services.  It’s another reason why I strongly believe that if YOU bring value to any situation people will find a role for YOU.  They’ll create a job that doesn’t exist.  They’ll pay for your services even when they say that they’re broke.  They’ll say, “yes,” to you even though they’ve told everyone else, “no.”  And here’s the cool thing about it.  They don’t want you to be like everyone else.  You can create your own niche!  You can develop your own style!  You can perfect your own recipe!  Bring VALUE and watch your life take off!  It’s in the bag!
