Jim’s Journal: They Will Find a Role for You

March 20, 2014 in Jim's Journal

You might not agree with me on this one, but it’s my story and I’m sticking to it.  I don’t care what the job description says or what its requirements call for, if you bring something special to the interview they will find a role for you.  By special I mean energy, personality, passion, creativity, transferable skills and a whatever-it-takes attitude.  Ask Jalysa Derden.  Jalysa interviewed with Jim Smith Jr. International to be an Executive Assistant and Business Development Manager.   She was energy personified, but we selected someone, Star Gray, who had more event management and business development experience.  But we were not going to let “J” get away.  A recent Villanova graduate with a ton of charisma, confidence and drive (she was also the captain or president on every team she was ever on), Jalysa is a super fit for our team.  In April she will join the JSJI family as our Public Relations and Social Media Specialist.  I repeat, when you have “it” others are going to want “it” regardless of what the job description says.

We provide the most transformational and empowering tools and experiences that challenge people to live and perform OUT LOUD!
