Jim’s Journal: When Your Three P’s Collide Anything is Possible!

February 23, 2014 in Jim's Journal

I spent last week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at the 2014 Learning Extravaganza World Tour Conference sponsored by SMR.  I delivered a keynote presentation called, “This is MY Now:  No Excuses” and facilitated a one-day, high impact workshop on presentation and facilitation skills called, “From Average to Awesome:  Tips, Techniques and Tools for Being a Phenomenal Phacilitator!”  To say that I had an incredible time “doing what I do” (while also acquiring new clients and Facebook friends) would be akin to saying people like taking “selfie photos” with their smartphones.  Jet lag did win the battle for the first four days.  Afterwards, I was able to bounce back and wrestle it to a draw.  I could go on and on about my fabulous experience there, but that’s not the number one purpose for this journal.  My agenda this time is to remind you to put your passion,  purpose and  performance into alignment.  When this happens, and you are extremely intentional in your pursuit of happiness, magical and memorable things are going to start to happen.  Your day-to-day experiences and “moments that matter” are going to swell to proportions you never dreamed of.  New and enthusiastic people are going to come into your world.  You’ll begin to move through each day at a greater pace and with a greater sense of urgency.  It’s time to activate your three P’s (passion, purpose and performance) and enjoy the ride.  Works for me!
