Jim’s Journal: Get it Off Your Chest!

August 22, 2013 in Jim's Journal

Still carrying all of that extra baggage around?  Still frustrated by what’s going on?  Still annoyed because they keep on doing the same thing?  Still think that it’s not going to matter what you say because they’re not going to change their behavior?  STOP!!!  Meet with the person.  When you’re sharing your thoughts, focus on the behavior you want them to change, NOT on them personally.  Begin by sharing facts, not your opinion.  The book Crucial Conversations (Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan and Al Switzler) helped me tremendously with this.  Life is way too short to walk around annoyed all of the time.  Besides, it’s not healthy to keep all of that stress bottled up inside.  Let “it” go and get ready to “grow”!

We provide the most transformational and empowering tools and experiences that challenge people to live and perform OUT LOUD!
